I was 5 years old when Robert Mitchem's "Thunder Road" movie came out. It, probably more than anything else, changed the direction of my life. Me and my buddy, Clyde Williams, used to sit in the sandbox of my father's garage, while he was away at work, and play "Thunder Road" for hours with our little toy rubber cars. I grew up to spend half my life on the road as a professional truck driver, living out the dream as a dis-functional road warrior, and I don't regret a moment of it. I made this movie as a tribute to Robert Mitchem and his amazing drive-in movie classic. Thank you! p.s. It's such a pleasure to be able to pick the tune from the movie. It reaffirms that I grew up right.
