Sooo I'm definitely in love with this series. Haha. Hopefully you guys enjoy watching it just as much as I do making it. :D Anyway, this episode jumps five years into the future, revealing where the characters are at that point in time. Some are doing things you wouldn't expect, while others are in places you would never guess. After the teaser, we return to where we left off last episode though. From that point on, the season works towards what we saw five years later. Enjoy! :D ____________________________________________ Penny [KRISTEN BELL] arrives late at Somebody's wake, while Gwen [HILARIE BURTON] shares Penny sense of punctuality. Sid [JASON DOHRING] is meeting with that Somebody's lawyer to discuss his or her will. Apparently, he was left out of it. Kate [LEIGHTON MEESTER] has been asleep all day recovering from a hangover and is awoken by Nick [JAMES LAFFERTY]. Back at the wake, Penny sees Gwen again, except this time she's not so sure what she sees. We learn the wake is in honor of Gwen and that her spirit is visiting Penny. Later, Molly [SOPHIA BUSH] hears a knock at the door and opens it to reveal Sid on the other end - while Aaron [ED WESTWICK] is drowning his sorrows with a glass of liquor, ironically alone. Before Penny steps out of her and into her house, she remains remembering Gwen's ghost for a few minutes. When she finally does go inside she spots her son dancing with her headphones on. Back at Molly's house, she's sporting some pretty awesome bruises and guarding herself with a gun by her side. Sid has come to argue, like he has been for months now since their relationship began. However, his arguments only lead to one thing - Molly adding another bruise to her face. Some hours later, Penny is serving dinner when she gets a call from the local correctional facility. It seems whoever was serving time, for whatever crime they committed, has quite frankly - served his time. It's now Penny's responsibility to pick him or her up because he or she cannot remain in their jail cell any longer. While Penny's on the phone, her boy and Nick are huddled around the table. Kate remembers why she became a drunk in the first place - to forget about previous love triangle drama and the angst that comes with it. Over at Aaron's suite, his thoughts linger until someone shows up outside his door. The following day at Gwen's funeral, no one shows up except her mother. Penny has arrived at the jail where she is to pick up to the ex-inmate. Who is the ex-inmate and what is he doing there? Back in the present, everyone is a mess. Wyatt [PENN BADGELY] is trying to deal with discovering his best friend with the woman he's been after for weeks. Sid tries to call Wyatt and apologize, but Wyatt ignores him. Penny is reeling from the fact that her ex-boyfriend still has feelings for her. When Penny tries to reconnect with Gwen, she shuns her away. Gwen is confused, four days ago Penny severed all ties to her and now she's come back running? Penny is stung by the karmic payback and exits Gwen's room hurt and annoyed. Later while showering, tears run down her cheek after realizing she shouldn't have treated Gwen the way she did days before. When Gwen needed her, she refused to help her out. Now that she's in need of Gwen's help, the shoe is on the other foot. Kate is at a loss for words, blown away how things between her and Sid & Wyatt turned out. She cries to her mother she wants to leave town - start fresh in some other state. As night comes, she is awoken by Sid who has come to erase her from his life. He feels his friendship (or what was once a friendship) with Wyatt is worth more than his love for her will ever be. Molly gets a pleasant surprise while on the phone with Gwen, discussing what just happened with Penny. Someone's at the door with the flowers, who apparently has decided to come out of his shell. Speaking of standing outside doorsteps, a certain someone (Wyatt) has decided to wave his white flag after much consideration, mending the friendship between Sid and him all too quickly. On impulse, Penny grabs her phone and dials Nick's number. She holds on as he answers, but then hangs up shortly after. At the end of the day, someone gives into temptation in a very unexpected way. What will be the consequences to such little resistance?
